Jerry Ross is the first person in history to be launched into space seven times—a world record. During his NASA career, he led spacewalks to develop the International Space Station and coordinated recovery of the Space Shuttle Columbia wreckage.
A retired United States Air Force officer, Jerry holds 15 NASA medals and an honorary doctorate of science. His hometown named an elementary school in his honor.
