Jody Williams is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate who has dedicated her life to promoting peace, human rights, and the elimination of landmines. As the founding coordinator of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, she led a global network of NGOs that resulted in the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty.

Williams' efforts were recognized with the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize. She currently chairs the Nobel Women's Initiative, which amplifies the voices of women peace activists.
