About
Larry Sanger co-founded Wikipedia in 2001 after joining Nupedia as Editor-in-Chief in 2000. The site exploded in popularity but Larry left in 2002, valuing authority and integrity over open anarchist editing.
He founded Citizendium in 2006 with an expert review process ensuring rigorous validity testing. A self-described website philosopher rather than businessman, Larry focuses on the moral responsibility of online information sources to be credible and trustworthy.
He speaks on free knowledge, wikis, online credibility, and the positives and negatives of user-generated content.
