Lord Alan Sugar founded Amstrad in 1968, building the British electronics company into a household name over fifty years. He owned Tottenham Hotspur from 1991 to 2001, serving as Chairman.
Since 2005, Lord Sugar has hosted BBC The Apprentice, investing in an aspiring entrepreneur each year. Named number 5 on Richtopias 100 Most Influential British Entrepreneurs, he was knighted in 2000 for services to home computers and electronics.
In 2009, Gordon Brown appointed him Enterprise Champion to promote entrepreneurship nationally. Lord Sugar speaks on business, entrepreneurship, and building success from the ground up.
