Known for being one of the best FIFA and UEFA referees worldwide, Mark Clattenburg is a leading authority in English football. During his career, Mark refereed a number of notable matches, these include2016 UEFA Champions League Finaland theUEFA Euro 2016 Final. One of the most memorable moments in Clattenburg's career was when he first cemented his name as a worldwide figure within football, after being appointed to referee the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. He refereed the 2013 FA Community Shield between Wigan Athletic and Manchester United at Wembley Stadium on 11 August 2013. United won the match 2–0.
Clattenburg went on to referee the UEFA Euro 2016 Final between Portugal and France on 10 July, which Portugal went on to win 1–0 after extra time. Having refereed some of the world's highest profile matches, Clattenburg is considered an expert in dealing with pressure, he has performed exceptionally well under pressure and often reflects on this during his time as a football speaker. As a result of his impressive career and impact on the footballing world, Mark wasawarded The Best Referee in the World Award in 2016 in Dubai. A professional football referee, Mark knows the importance of clear communication, leadership, keeping a cool head and performing under pressure. This can be seen in any match that he referees.
Since retiring, Mark has become a popular speaker at events both locally and internationally.
