Catarina Mota is an open design researcher, TED Fellow, and co-founder of Openmaking, a non-profit that promotes accessible and inclusive technology. Her work explores how emerging tools like 3D printing and digital fabrication can empower people to create.
Mota has led open hardware workshops around the world, teaching participants to design and build their own low-cost electronic devices. She shares her insights on the democratizing potential of technology in keynotes that inspire audiences to become active makers, not just passive consumers.
