Corneille Ewango is a celebrated Congolese activist and conservationist who has dedicated his life to protecting the world's second-largest rainforest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As a former park ranger, Ewango risked his life to safeguard the Okapi Wildlife Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site, during the Second Congo War.
His courageous efforts to defend the reserve have been recognized with the prestigious Goldman Environmental Prize. Ewango's keynotes inspire audiences with the power of grassroots conservation and the importance of protecting critical ecosystems for future generations.
