Sayu Bhojwani is the Founder of New American Leaders, a nonprofit that works to increase the number of first- and second-generation Americans in elected office. Previously, she served as New York City's first Commissioner of Immigrant Affairs, where she advised the mayor and worked to integrate immigrant communities.
Bhojwani's 2016 TED talk, 'How Immigrants Can Impact American Politics', has reached over 2 million views. Her keynotes empower diverse voices to participate in our democracy, sharing strategies for inclusive, representative government.

Through her own story of becoming an American citizen, the immigration scholar reveals how her love and dedication to her country turned into a driving force for political change.
