Zico Kolter is a Professor and Department Head of the Machine Learning Department at Carnegie Mellon University, where his work spans several topics in machine learning, including AI safety and robustness, LLM security, the impact of data on models, and implicit models. He serves on the Board of OpenAI, where he chairs the Safety and Security Committee, and also sits on the Board of Qualcomm.
Additionally, he is a co-founder and Chief Scientist of Gray Swan AI, an AI Security company, and serves as an advisor to BNY. His contributions to the field have been recognized with numerous accolades, including the DARPA Young Faculty Award and a Sloan Fellowship.
