Enrique Peñalosa served three terms as the Mayor of Bogotá, Colombia, where he pioneered innovative urban design solutions. Under his leadership, the city expanded its renowned network of bike lanes, created a high-quality bus rapid transit system, and invested in public green spaces.
Peñalosa's work has been recognized with the 2018 World Transport Prize and the 2019 Gothenburg Award for Sustainable Development. As a global authority on sustainable urban planning, his keynotes inspire civic and business leaders to rethink how cities are built to improve quality of life and environmental sustainability.
