Fred Swaniker is the founder of the African Leadership Academy, a pioneering institution that develops the next generation of ethical, entrepreneurial African leaders. Born in Ghana, Swaniker has dedicated his career to unlocking the potential of Africa's youth.
Through the Academy's rigorous curriculum and leadership development programs, he has empowered thousands of young Africans to tackle the continent's most pressing challenges. Before he hit eighteen, Fred Swaniker had lived in Ghana, Gambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. What he learned from a childhood across Africa was that while good leaders can't make much of a difference in societies with strong institutions, in countries with weak structures, leaders could make or break a country.
