Hasan M. Elahi

Hasan M. Elahi is a multidisciplinary artist whose work blends emerging technologies with narrative storytelling.

After being wrongfully identified as a suspected terrorist by the US government, Elahi began an ongoing self-surveillance project, documenting his every move in photographs. This experience informs his lectures on surveillance, privacy, and the role of technology in shaping modern identity.

Elahi's interdisciplinary approach has earned him fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the United States Artists, as well as an ongoing role as a research professor at the University of Maryland.
