Henna Virkkunen

Henna Virkkunen serves as Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy at the European Commission. She is tasked with combatting increasingly complex security threats facing the EU while strengthening external borders and internal security.

This includes responsibility for ensuring freedoms, justice, and democracy are strengthened. Prior to the Commission, Virkkunen held leadership roles focused on innovation, technology, and digital transformation.
