Fighting for change, and learning to listen
True activism begins with listening to and understanding the communities you aim to serve. Jasmine Wu is a senior at VCHS and the Biology and Research Fellow for the International Space Station Research Lab. This past summer, she interned at NASA’s Ames Research Center, contributing to testing the BioSensor for the upcoming LEIA mission. Beyond her passion for space science, Jasmine is the reigning Miss California’s Teen, advocating for educational equality in underserved communities. She also serves as President of the Diversity Matters Club. In her free time, Jasmine enjoys dancing and playing guitar. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
