Li Wei Tan is an urban planner and design engineer focused on creating livable, sustainable cities. As a TED Fellow, he has pioneered new approaches to urban development that integrate green infrastructure, renewable energy, and circular economy principles.
Tan's work has been featured in Wired, National Geographic, and The Economist for its innovative solutions to challenges like air pollution, waste management, and community resilience. With a PhD in civil engineering from the National University of Singapore, he shares research-backed strategies to design future-ready cities that enhance quality of life while reducing environmental impact.
