Meklit Hadero is an Ethiopian-American singer-songwriter whose luminous compositions explore the cultural in-between. Her music bridges her diverse influences, from East African sounds to jazz and folk.
As a co-founder of the Nile Project, Hadero brings together musicians from Nile Basin countries to celebrate the shared cultural heritage of the river. Her captivating live performances and thought-provoking lyrics inspire audiences to reflect on identity, community, and the connective power of music.
