About
Michael Lebowitz founded Big Spaceship in 2000 - a digital creative agency in Brooklyn that has won Emmy nominations, Cannes Lions, and Webbys working with BMW, Google, Samsung, Capital One, YouTube, and Ken Burns. A film major at Vassar who worked at Bravo TV, he started the agency to 'make cool shit' and built it into a model for multidisciplinary teamwork.
Big Spaceship's progressive culture and team structure were profiled by Harvard Business School, with the case study now taught in business schools across 40 countries. Michael is a founding board member of the Society of Digital Agencies (SoDA) and a regular international awards juror.
He lectures on design, entertainment, and interactive marketing at NYU Stern, MIT's Futures of Entertainment Conference, and leads an annual seminar on digital marketing in Rome.
