Norma Pimentel is the Executive Director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, where she oversees the charitable organization's humanitarian response to the immigration crisis on the U. S.
-Mexico border. Pimentel has spent decades advocating for the rights and dignity of refugees and asylum seekers, providing food, shelter, and essential services to vulnerable populations.
Her tireless efforts to assist migrants have earned her national recognition, including the 2016 Presidential Medal of Freedom and the 2018 Laetare Medal from the University of Notre Dame.
