Steve Gleason is a former NFL player who spent 8 seasons with the New Orleans Saints, known as a counter-culture athlete who challenged the status quo. After retiring, Gleason was diagnosed with ALS, but he has not let the disease define him.
He founded the nonprofit Team Gleason to provide leading-edge technology, equipment, and services to help people with ALS live fuller lives. Gleason was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his advocacy work, and his story of resilience and determination has inspired millions around the world.
