Don't Forget to Thank Your AI!
Speaker
About this talk
As AI becomes a daily collaborator rather than a one-off tool, the way we talk to machines may matter more than we think. In this talk, Dhruv Joshi explores why simple human behaviors—like saying “thank you,” giving feedback, or correcting mistakes—can shape how AI systems learn, improve, and align with human values. Drawing from research, real-world AI development, and the rise of agentic “digital labor,” he argues that the future of work belongs to those who learn not just how to use AI, but how to manage it well. Mr. Dhruv Joshi stands at the frontier of artificial intelligence and human collaboration. As a Senior Product Manager at Microsoft, Dhruv Joshi co-authored The New Future of Work 2024 report and holds over a dozen U.S. patents in privacy-preserving data innovation. His work asks us to rethink our relationship with the machines that are learning from — and with — us. He’s an engineer, inventor, and futurist all in one. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
