David Meerman Scott is a marketing strategist, keynote speaker and bestselling author known for The New Rules of Marketing and PR, which has sold more than 400,000 copies and been translated into over 25 languages. He has written or co-written numerous books, including Fanocracy, co-authored with his daughter Reiko, which examines how organizations build communities of devoted fans.
Scott has spoken to audiences in more than 40 countries and on all seven continents, and has advised HubSpot since 2007, where he has presented at the company's INBOUND conference. In 2019 he delivered a keynote at the B2B Marketing Exchange on how B2B businesses can cultivate fandom amid digital chaos, arguing that the pendulum has swung too far toward superficial online interaction and that companies should treat people as humans first.
