Leah Garcés is the President and CEO of Mercy For Animals, a leading international nonprofit working to end the exploitation of animals for food. Under her leadership, Mercy For Animals has secured landmark corporate animal welfare policies, driven legislative reforms, and empowered millions to adopt plant-based diets.
Garcés is the author of the book 'Grilled: Turning Adversaries into Allies to Change the Chicken Industry'. She has appeared on NPR's 'Hidden Brain' and TED stages, using science-backed strategies to inspire audiences to create a more compassionate food system.
